Inside de hotel

Nadat we hier al eens stiekem konden binnen gluren in het verlaten hotel, zijn hier dan nu de eerste officiële foto’s van Disney van de binnenkant van de Tower of Terror. De lobby van het Hollywood Tower Hotel ligt er nog steeds bij zoals het in die vreselijke nacht van 1939 werd achtergelaten.

De Dro’pin Event

Op 22 december wordt er ter gelegenheid van de opening van de Tower of Terror ook een speciale pin uitgegeven. Wie wil kan zich inschrijven voor een speciale Pin Trading Night. Het hele gebeuren gaat door in de Walt Disney Studios en kost voor jaarpashouders € 29 (niet-jaarpashouders betalen € 33 voor een volwassene en € 30 per kind). Reserveren is de boodschap.

It's Sally's birthday today and like me she loves an enormous fuss made of her on her special day hence an entire post devoted to my 'could have been' sister. She would never have been satisfied with with anything less.

Les nouveaux attractions sont arrivées

De uitnodigingen voor de avant-premiére van de nieuwste attractie in de Walt Disney Studios : de Tower of Terror : the Twilight zone (La tour de la Terreur) voor de jaarpashouders zijn de deur uit.

We meldden het gisteren al op Yago’s Disney Nieuws : de Walt Disney Studios maken zich op voor 22 december. En af en toe wordt er een tipje van de sluier gelicht. Zo is nu al een stuk van de omheining die rond de werf van de Tower of Terror gebouwd was, afgebroken.

Maar ook aan de attractie Stitch Live wordt volop doorgewerkt. Op de plaats waar eerder deze week het logo van Disney Channel verdween, staat nu een fiere Stitch te pronken.

Prince Caspian Trailer

Terwijl de trailer van het videospelletje al een tijdje uit is, zitten de Narniafans nog op hun honger wat de trailer van deze nieuwste Narniafilm : The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian betreft. Volgens diverse bronnen zou deze trailer nu al te zien zijn in het El Capitan Theatre. Het wordt ondertussen ook uitkijken naar de rol van Ben Barnes als Prince Caspian. Nog even geduld en misschien krijgen we de trailer binnenkort ook in onze biosoopzalen te zien.

The Twilight Zone : Tower of Terror

De Walt Disney Studios maken zich langzaam aan klaar voor de opening van de Tower of Terror :de Twilight Zone. Nadat we via de eerste beelden de attractie konden meebeleven en we reeds stiekem genomen foto’s van de wachtrij en de binnenkant van het hotel zagen, kijken we natuurlijk reikhalzenduit naar de openingsdatum van 22 december.

De castmembers hebben hun kostuums al gepast zoals we op deze foto kunnen zien :


en er is ook al een eerste "souvenierfoto" opgedoken. Deze foto zal je dus kunnen kopen na het meemaken van een hachelijk avontuur in het Hollywood Tower hotel. Deze foto hier is er één die genomen werd tijdens de avant-premiere voor de arbeiders en hun familie die aan de Tower of Terror gewerkt hebben of nog werken.

Toy Story Mania

Disney heeft een officiële site (eigenlijk een preview site) geopend voor de nieuwe attractie Toy Story Mania. De website http://www.toystorymania.com/ zal regelmatig worden upgedate met nieuwe informatie en foto’s.

Toy Story Mania opent in de zomer van 2008 de deuren in Disney's California Adventure® Park en Disney's Hollywood Studios™ in Florida.

Moteurs … action !

Blijkbaar vergeten de bezoekers van de Walt Disney Studios een bezoekje te brengen aan deze toch wel spectaculaire stuntshow. Om het publiek naar de show te lokken, rijden er nu af en toe een 2-tal reclamewagens door de straten van de studios. Naast de wagens lopen een aantal castmembers mee die de mensen proberen warm te maken om een voorstelling bij te wonen.
Maar misschien moeten ze de uren van de voorstellingen eens herbekijken want nu rennen de bezoekers direct naar Crush Coaster of naar Rock ’n Rollercoaster en laat men de stuntshow gewoon links liggen.

Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

Het is reeds een 8-tal maanden geleden dat we de bouwwerken aan het Disneyland hotel in Tokyo Disney Resort onder de loep namen. De werken aan het nieuwe Disneyhotel vorderen zoals je op onderstaande foto’s ziet heel goed. Het blauwe dak en de zijkanten van het hotel zijn zo goed als afgewerkt. Maar zoals je kan zien hebben ze wel nog veel werk voor de boeg o.a. aan de voor- en achterkant van het hotel maar ook de parking moet nog aangelegd worden. Wie nog even de gegevens van dit Disneyhotel wil bekijken, kan dit hier doen. De openingsdatum hebben ze reeds moeten verschuiven van 15 april 2008 naar 8 juli 2008 en dit waarschijnlijk omwille van een kleine achterstand op de planning van de werken.

National Treasure : Book of secrets

Om National Treasure : Book of secrets te promoten, heeft men bij Disney een ingenieus plan bedacht. Geheel in de sfeer van de film kunnen de bezoekers op zoek gaan naar schatten op een officiële YouTube site .

Op de YouTube National Treasure site kunnen de bezoekers naar een geheime video kijken nadat ze een aantal vragen opgelost hebben aan de hand van een 5-tal videos.

Voor de echte avonturiers zijn er ook nog National Treasure- games op de officiële site geplaatst.

It’s a small World

In Hong Kong Disneyland krijgen ze er in de lente van 2008 een nieuwe attractie bij : It’s a small World. Momenteel is men nog volop aan het bouwen aan deze populaire attractie. Hier alvast een aantal foto’s van de werken.

Minnie’s Jolly Holidays Show

We hadden het hier op Yago's Disney Nieuws reeds over de nieuwe wintershow met Minnie in de hoofdrol : Minnie’s Jolly Holidays Show.

Verschillende bronnen bevestigen dat de show vroeger dan verwacht zal starten. Vanaf 1 december zouden de bezoekers van het Disneylandpark vier keer per dag kunnen genieten van deze show. Plaats van het gebeuren is het podium op Central Plaza. Veel gegevens over de show zijn nog niet bekend dus het wordt in spanning afwachten tot 1 december.

Tower Of Terror Avant Premiere

Hier de eerste onride-video van “onze” Tower of Terror. Het filmpje werd op 24 november opgenomen tijdens de avant-première. Het valt wel op dat alles in het Frans verteld wordt, vraag is nu of er ook een Engelse versie zal zijn bij de officiële opening.

Dit was geen officiële avant-premiére maar een speciaal evenement voor de 4.000 mensen die aan de TOT gewerkt hebben en hun familie. De officiële opening is voorzien op 22 december 2007 en de VIP-en persvoorstelling heeft in april 2008 plaats.

Kijk en geniet ook van het schitterende zicht op de Walt Disney Studios by night.
