Mitsubishi GTO 3000GT Drag Race

Mitsubishi GTO 3000GT Drag Race Tu
Mitsubishi 3000GT GTO drag race is a subscription night at the Juanda, Surabaya. Remarkably, two-door sedan production in 1997 was able to defeat rival and classmate, such as the Honda S2000, Nissan Skyline, or the Mazda RX-7 which already has spec above average standard car.

Of view there was no change in body extreme. Shooting also directly led to the engine. Galih Wira, GTO owners, handed it to the A section of the home modifications Ling Ambassador Jaya to boost energy. Amazingly, without much to do korekan and excessive replacement, engine surge to 30 percent of the initial power 276 HP. Distance of 201 meters was achieved in 8.6 seconds.

"There's only a little addition and change the ECU," called A Ling on kitchen runway. Changes include the fuel pump is replaced with a standard to prevent delays Walbro fuel into the fuel. If the fuel pump to spray the standard 160 liters / hour, Walbro could reach 255 liters / hour.

In addition, the twin turbo boost is increased to 1.1 bar. The size was chosen because, according to A Ling, intake is still the standard and also to prevent cracks. Ignition timing also changed with a little advanced for yield in the space of time can burn early. If it is too forward, could be detonation.

The result, when tried, GTO acceleration from 0-100 km per hour to within 5 seconds, while for distances of 201 meters carved 8.6 seconds. "This car really extravagant. The comparison is 1:5. If drag, Shell Super with fuel," Galih said.

New Mitsubishi Shogun Specification

Though the new Shogun does a fair impression of a metrosexual, road-biased modern soft-roader, that atmospheric pressure readout in the centre console stands out like a crap-encrusted welly poking out the bottom of a smart suit. Dressed up in new clothes it may be - the facelifted Shogun gets a new front end that manages to be bluffer yet sharper at the same time - but this is still a river-wading 4x4 from the muddy old school. And better for it.

There is added grrr and green in the engine department. The 3.2-litre four-cylinder diesel has been revised, with power up to 197bhp, torque rising to 325lb ft and CO2 emissions dropping from 280g/km to a passable 224g/km. Consumption is improved by 5mpg. Of big SUVs, only the BMW X5 is cleaner.

With vital statistics like that, you'd be forgiven for lumping the new Shogun in with the modern breed of puddle-dodging faux-by-fours... until, that is, you start it up. At this moment, any delusions of a silky BMW-spec diesel disappear into the throaty rumble of the engine.

It'll haul the Shogun at a passable lick - 11 seconds to 62mph - but it won't do it with much enthusiasm. It will, however, enthusiastically pull large things out of bogs. TopGear has never been much concerned with towing capacity, but we are delighted to discover that the Shogun will haul a mighty 3,500kg. What is 3,500kg in hauling terms?

Well, it's plenty enough to drag a rogue cow from a peaty bog. Or a World War One tank come to that. The more expensive Toyota Land Cruiser will tow a pitiful 2,800kg. We imagine towing capacity to be important currency in the sort of grizzled, flinty pubs where Shogun and Landcruiser drivers drink.

As are things like front and rear overhangs, and maximum climb angles, and low-ratio gearboxes - stuff the Shogun does better than almost anything out there. Even this seven-seat version will tackle a 48° incline without breaking sweat. That's more or less upside-down.

The X5 or XC90 may defeat it over tarmac, the Discovery may offer a better balance of on- and off-road ability, but if your daily commute includes mamba-infested swamp and a plunging ravine with a dozen logs in tow, the Shogun is what you need. And those greener engine revisions mean you'll get deeper into the inky wilderness before reaching for the jerry can.

Mitsubishi Galant Evolution

In 2009 a slightly used Mitsubishi Galant. Since then, almost every time I spy another car like mine, this is an older model. Something about the original version of the series when my car just for me, is ugly.

If you know much about cars, you know that every four or six, if the car is selling quite well, manufacturers release "all new" series of the same name. Sometimes, just like the old version in several ways, and usually remains in the same size class. Other times, changes in car size, appearance, and can even change from a compact to mid size. But there are other ways to change the car, without the "all new." Usually, in the age of any series, the car will get a "refresh" or "face-lift." This usually involves changing the headlights, taillights, bumpers, and even sometimes fenders, trunks and hoods. Although basically the same car, this new addition can drastically change the look of the car.

This is the case with the Mitsubishi Galant. In the year 2003 - the year 2004 as a model - an all new Galant was introduced, to move from compact to mid-size car. At that time, Mitsubishi tried to go for the brand family ""-see, placing schnoz in the middle of the lattice. I do not think I'm alone in thinking it is a design error.

This car looks best in red, so this is a glamorous shot of the prettiest, I could find. In other colors, it looks ugly and rather boring. Someone at Mitsubishi would think so, because in the year 2007, they kept the same car, but give it the face lift. Missing is the nose, but the remnants remain. hood still has a stylish line that points to where the nose should be, and new replacement grille still have a bulge.

Not too much improvement, but definitely better. Someone must have thought they did not really exist, but there must have enough life left in the Galant for them to try again. In the year 2009, they changed the hood, grille, and bumpers. All schnoz remains missing, though - oddly enough - not going to change the headlights.

While I really love my car, and thought it looked pretty great (even better now, with tinted windows), I still think Mitsubishi missed a golden opportunity here. And now that the car has gone through seven model years, there will of course not a chance. Mitsubishi Galant has stopped production, ending with the year 2010. This is not surprising either. It landed on the list "" the worst seller in recent years, perhaps because there is virtually no promotion. When was the last time you saw an ad Galant?

But what is not selling Mitsubishi Outlanders. And the Lancers. Sporty Lancer Evolution is a runaway hit. It does not hurt that they come with a look of "new family" for their other car, which features an aggressive grille that somewhat resembles an old-school Cylon, Battlestar Galactica from the original. I can not help thinking, what would I Galant look like if they get a ballsy, and grafted a new look at the last round Galants? Well, I'm a graphic artist, so I thought I would find out. Now, do not be too critical. Try to prove what?

Mitsubishi Grandis Specification

The Mitsubishi Grandis is a car that’s all too readily overlooked just because it’s not one of the big names in family transport. It looks great, drives far better than it should and has a whopping and genuinely clever interior.

There are two engines to choose from, neither of which is a sure fire winner. Both petrol and diesel take around 11 seconds to see off 60mph, but the slightly noisy diesel at least can provide dramatically superior fuel economy.

In the inherently uncool world of the large MPV the Grandis at least looks the part. And the fact that it's half-decent to drive gives it another edge over the usual mumsy fair out there. Bold, swoopy interior design can't quite hide the fact that some of the plastics are a bit cheap. The diesel engine is sourced from Volkswagen though, so that should be very strong.

This is what it all boils down to with MPVs, and the Grandis isn't to be found wanting. A proper seven-seat configuration that folds and concertinas and all sorts. It's not the biggest or easiest to use, but it's right up there. If you take the Renault Grand Scenic as the mid-size MPV benchmark then the Grandis fairs well on initial purchase price. It might not hold its value like some of the more desirable cars in this segment though, so you could lose out in the long run.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Ralliart Concept Car

Ralliart is the motorsports arm of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Worldwide, Ralliart vehicles feature enhanced performance, specialty equipment and sporty styling elements that include more powerful engines, sport-tuned suspensions as well as special fascia and styling cues. The best-selling import coupe for the past 15 years, Eclipse was redesigned for 2006 - and Mitsubishi design engineers wasted no time giving Eclipse the Ralliart treatment.

Special attention was paid to increasing horsepower and torque, adding all-wheel drive capability for improved power in a variety of driving conditions while minimizing weight. To boost horsepower to an estimated 400 bhp, a turbocharged 4G63 engine was borrowed from the Lancer Evolution and supplemented with a custom air intake and other HKS performance parts. The concept Eclipse's rally prowess is enhanced with the all-wheel drive system currently available on the Endeavor and Lancer Evolution as well as a six-speed manual transmission. Lightweight carbon fiber was used extensively in the roof, hood, fascias and front fenders.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR 2005

The Lancer Evolution (colloquially known as the "EVO") is Mitsubishi's flagship sports car. Based only on the unibody of the domesticated Lancer sedan, the Evo is a rally inspired, turbocharged, all wheel drive, durable, and finely tuned automobile. The number designation of the model is most commonly a roman numeral. Evolution models prior to version V were the officially approved models for Mitsubishi's efforts in the World Rally Championship's Group A class and SCCA Pro Rally Championship. In order to follow these rules, the Evolution is based on the same platform as the Lancer. However, it is much more powerful than the Lancer, with the unibody being the only major part in common between the two. Nine street versions of the Evolution have been produced from 1993 up to today. Evolution versions VI, VII, VIII and IX did not need to meet WRC homologation requirements.
