As some of you know Krissa and I are off to Sydney on the weekend to indulge in our favourite pass time - Zac Watching (some may call it unhealthy stalking but we maintain otherwise) .  We have talked about this over at Stars Hollow - in brief we have been invited to the red-carpet premiere of Zac's new film 'Charlie St Cloud' where the man himself will be in attendance.

I am becoming a little concerned that K and I may irreparably damage our reputations by becoming overwhelmed and behaving inappropriately when Zac enters our orbit, therefore I have been trying to desensitize myself by watching footage of the boy in the hope that I will be completely 'ho-hum' by Sunday.
Judging by the excessive drooling and elevated heart rate I'm going to assume that so far it is not working.
I will persevere and let you know how I'm going.... I'm not confident though.

Zac Efron en Vanessa Hudgens, bekend van “High School Musical” zijn nu ook vereeuwigd als Disneycharacters door Annie Leibovitz. Zac Efron kroop in de huid van Prins Philip en Vanessa Hudgens werd heel even Doornroosje.

De foto werd gemaakt als onderdeel van de Disneycampagne “What Will You Celebrate?” en kreeg dan ook de toepasselijke naam “Where Romance is Celebrated”. Annie Leibovitz maakte reeds een aantal Disney Dream foto’s voor de Disneyparken. Klik hier voor de andere Disneyportretten van Annie Leibovitz.

Funnest Night Ever -or- High School Musical Premiere

I haven't had time to blog as I have been way too busy attending Movie Premieres and walking red carpets!!!

I know - how fun!

I am a virgin at the red carpet and what better movie to lose my virginity to than High School Musical 3? So appropriate really.

My equally sad and daggy friend (you may know who I am talking about) had two tickets to the Melbourne premiere and knowing just how much I would love it, took me along to share the joy.

I can not even begin to tell you how much fun we had! In fact I get all smiley just thinking about it... This is the red carpet. Screaming fans, flash bulbs, screaming fans, etc etc. For a brief and shining moment I felt kind of famous.

On entering the theatre we scored the two front row seats, smack in the middle. Not so good for movie viewing you may be thinking, but Oh so good for star viewing!!!

Here are Ashley Tisdale (Sharpai) and Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella) literally 4 foot from us. It was surreal.

The best was yet to come!!!

I really think my dear friend was concerned that I may try to make a grab for him! I took this photo without a zoom so you can see how close we were. Sigh!!!!

It was a fabulous, hilarious, night and to top it all off the movie was everything it should have been.

And for those of you who aren't sharing the Zac love - here are a few shots to give you an idea of why I was fairly pleased to be sharing the same air with him. Enjoy.

Piraat Zac Efron ?

Volgens de geruchten zou het tieneridool Zac Efron de schoolbanken ruilen voor een ruige leven als piraat.

Tieneridool Zac Efron kreeg het aanbod om in ruil voor 7,5 miljoen euro een rol te spelen in de vierde film in de reeks 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. De bazen van Disney willen Efron klaarstomen om uiteindelijk Johnny Depp te vervangen. "Bij Disney wisten ze dat Zac niet veel zin meer had om nog meer films in de reeks 'High School Musical' te maken. Dus deden ze hem een voorstel dat hij moeilijk zal kunnen weigeren", aldus een bron in The National Enquirer.

High School Musical 3

De High School Musical-sterren hebben hun handtekeningen gezet onder een contract voor High School Musical 3: Senior Year die in het voorjaar van 2008 in productie gaat. Het wordt de laatste film rond de avonturen van de groep scholieren. Het script is van de hand van Peter Barsocchini die ook High School Musical en High School Musical 2 schreef en de filmproducenten zijn Bill Borden, Barry Rosenbush en Don Schain.

In de nieuwe film zien Troy (Zac Efron) en Gabriella (Vanessa Anne Hudgens) op tegen hun gedwongen scheiding door de keuze voor een vervolgstudie. Met hun vrienden maken ze een musical over hun ervaringen en hun wensen en angsten over de toekomst.
